Releasing the code for a11y translator

The first new project on my website in a long time ⌛

Back in August I shared a new project I had completed: a11y translator - a tool poking fun at the trend of abbreviating words such as "accessibility" to "a11y".

This was something I'd had on my mind for maybe a year but never got around to building. Back in August I found the perfect opportunity for it - I was learning Svelte and I wanted a small personal project to dig into it a little more.

When I initially shared the project in August I said that I would release the source code for it "very soon". Turns out that "very soon" meant two months later 😅

Better late than never I suppose!

In the meantime I also did a big refactor to switch out the CSS library I was using and to improve the code based on new things I picked up in the meantime. I now consider it "done" and probably won't touch it again, so it's a good time to release it.

The code can be found on Gitlab and I created a project page on my website for it here !
